First day on the Brisbane river

....and a strange one it was.

Firstly caught a small turtle .....followed by a Lungfish and then an eel tailed catfish.

Not quite what I was expecting.

Don't know.....never fished it before.

I was at College's crossing......I thought that was still salt.

Apparently you will get bream up there, the odd flathead and the imfamous bullshark.

Not sure about bass, i'd imagine so

yep....bass....mullet....spangled perch....sleepy cod....catfish....i was surprised to get a herring up that way....same as what i pull out of salt estuarine. i've never caught bream that far up but i have heard of them being caught.

Yeah guys before all the rain i was getting whitting and sole at the junction but there always bream around and the odd threadie. I normally use live prawns i get in the cast net but i find the winter tends to shut the river down a bit. Cheers

Got a decent bream in Toowong yesterday.....first cast.

Then......nothing

Still.....things are looking up
