Dont buy it from BCF, go to Recreational Refrigeration (i think they are also caravan services) who will do you a good deal.
Hi guy's, looking to buy and the current BCF cattledog has one. 40ltr + transit bag + promo pack for $1200.00. Can anyone compare prices they may have seen? Cheers, Pete

Other option if you can wait around is to buy from Anaconda when they have 20% off everything. Doesn't happen often though - sometimes it is 20% off everything except fridges!
Anaconda with 20% off still wont beat Caravan Services, however they will reluctantly match the price
Pete,
Why Engel? i have just bought a new 60LT waeco for the same price as the 40LT engel. this is my second fridge. the first one was a down under. wouldnt touch one ever again. but the new waeco is fantastic. very very quite, we had it set up next to the tent running off a battery with aligator clips. in the still of the night, there was no sound coming from it. and the battery lasted 3 days no probs.

I think My 60lt stainless steel engel only cost $1250 at the 4x4 show 4 years ago
Yeah that was four years ago but we used it every day as a freezer for 18mths while we travelled around aust
Still have it
Use it reg Fishing camping even in the back of the car at kids b/days at the park
4x4 ect
got to use them reg
Cant give engle a big enough rap
Sure it costs a bit more but work out how much it has cost me a day about .85c
Im happy

Hey John 3 days from the one battery is excellent going. Did you have it running 24hrs a day, and what size battery please mate?
Thanks
Dave
Thanks for the feedback boys, John, sounds like I best keep my ear to the ground and look for a better deal. W2F, cheers mate u give em a good rap, 60ltr would be heaps more useable I would think, have a great weekend, Pete.
what ever you get, make sure it will fit. Sometimes the bigger ones end up being a pain, but if you have the space

Have you checked out the new engle eclipse range. They are a poly version of the original and i think about $950 w but im sure you would be able to do a deal with the options, go to a small place BCF is a joke.
The company i work for just bought 150 of them for getting 1 year recordable injury free which is nearly unheard of in the mining game. So i have a new version sitting on the floor for the price of being safe for the year, good deal or what.
Discount on 150 units from BCF $30 per unit
Discount from Small Camping shop in Mackay $200 per unit 1/2 price transit bag and 10% store wide. Please everyone support local when the prices are right, dont just walk into large store and hand over your cash.
Cheers and buy whatever suits your needs, they all have pro and cons
