Hi W2F, have similar rig, 435 stessl angler 60hp, heading to Sandy Strait in a few weeks for a couple of weeks of fishing, fishing and more fishing. Cheers Mick.

I havent fished it for years prob 8

I remember getting stuck on a sandbank with my
last boat and then girlfriends father untill the tide came back in

Long time to wait but we had heaps of food and water
Fished a gutter and cleaned up on nice whitting and flathead
prob caughht 30-35 fish

Just had to put up with pommy father in law for 4-5hrs
but fishing was good

Hi Mick welcome , yep the sandy straits for me as well , going up there myself in a month for a bit of a fish, taking a couple of novices along and going to show them the ropes . I see from your profile you might be close to waraba creek in caboolture, i got a mate who backs onto the creek , real scruffy long hair looking guy say gidday if you see him but don`t expect a reply , real cantancarous unsociable bugger at the best of times . strongy
