    Unproductive B'day Fish

    hi i went out for a fish today at scotts point only managed, 1 bream, 1 sweetlip and a squire all undersized and caught on plastics, oh yeah i also managed a nice sized arrow squid, there were a few around but i didn't have a jig on me. sorry no pics not worthy of a photo.

    definetly better than school, the water was like glass, very clear and no chop. i burleyed and burleyed but still no success.

    There in lies half the problem. Snapper normally don't like it when the water is too clean. They prefer murky conditions and if the water is too clear will normally head out deeper where there is less sunlight penetration apparently from what I have been told. Kind of makes sense because whenever I can see reef in up to 5 metres the fish are nowhere to be found. At least you were out there enjoying yourself. Happy Birthday.
