    Re: Backwater Breamin

Brighton Le Sands! My old back yard---------- 25 years ago, i saw the light and moved to GOD'S COUNTRY and Barra Ahhhhhhhhh it's heaven.

Traffic! yes i can remember how it was, but now wait!!!!!!! Here in Brisbane if you use the Gateway, now commonly called the Hateway its as bad. Years ago before they completed the works over the Pine River to Dolhes Rocks Road it was great, when it was open everyone started to use it and it became a slow run at times at other times a bloody nightmare. Brings me too, How do you get an idiot???? Just add water, when it rains they run off the road and at times into other cars. It got that way that every afternoon the traffic piles up at the Nudgee Golf course and stays solid all the way through to the Pine River.

Now they are building a new Gateway Bridge, great, duplicating the gateway to, great again, but guess where too, the Nudgee Golf course!! Bloody brilliant stuff. This will mean that all the traffic will end up at the Nudgee golf course quicker.

The main reason i don't work at Eagle Farm any more!! Ohh i', off course sorry.

Chris, i think i know just where that creek is!! i have no intention of driving down there to fish it, big possibility you may snag a body there one day mate!!!

    Cheers,
    John.

Dont laugh ...... but I thought I saw a body up there on Monday ....... It turned out to be a shirt that was caught up in the mangroves
The movie - Jindabyne ........ came to my mind ( & I would have kept fishing too )

Back in the old Sydney days i seem to remember my club had a night at which some chaps from the Water Police attended.

I can remember asking, "Just what do we do if we come across a body in the water".

The reply was, if i can remember correctly was,

Most bodies will be naked as the tides and currents tend to remove all clothes in time, if you can, try and secure the body to your boat and wait for the police, we all had 27meg radios in those days.

Chris perhaps the shirt was put there by the tide?????????? LOL.

Had a look at the the bream you mentioned, yes it does have the crazy eye, maybe it will be waiting for you next time with an AK47.

    Cheers,
    John.
