Propellor lures
What are they good for?
I just saw the River2sea HBs with propelllors on the front and back. Are they salt water lures? what species takes them?
They look like theyd be good for dead sticking, just hang em out back in the current and let the flow work the lure while youre anchored.
Anyone used em?

Re: Propellor lures
Hi Andrew
I'm not familiar with the R2S prop lure ........ But it would be a topwater lure ( fizzer) which is fished like a popper ......... I use a small one for bream & bass ..... but the larger ones like a Bushy stiffy, blade fizzer or Heddon Wounded Spook ( just to name a few) ..... will take barra , GTs etc etc
Good fun
Cheers

That "bushy stiffy" sounds like it'd do the job for ya, Gecko. It'd be hard to beat on a hot summer's night

Fizzers like the River 2 Sea work well with all pelagics: tuna, queenies, GTs etc. The R2S twin-prop lure you saw is a bit light and wind resistant for distance casting, but the Stiffy Fizzer will fling a mile with a double handed spin rod. Nothing better than seeing a pack of longtails greyhounding after a fleeing fizzer. The Bill's Bugs fizzers (Fuzz Bugs) are also good for this caper... http://www.########.com.au/index.cfm...=313&page_no=2
