just wanted to see if anyone can tell me what they think kin kin/ everglades would be like this weekend after all that rain. i was planning on goin up there to search for some tarpon and wild bass.
would all that rain effect the bass and tarpon up there?
never fished there before but i can say from experience that the old tarpon fire when a stretch of water goes from brackish to fresh just after some rain. deep running stretches with mid stream structure are the go normally.
I'd be giving it at least a couple of weeks, until this floodwater dissapears and settles down a bit.
There'd be heaps of logs and debris floating down the river again, be careful.
We've had 400mm of rain in 5 days here.
ye zac if i was you mate i would be witing a couple of weeks until water clears a bit. when you do go up target tarpon in the upper reaches of kin kin creek on surface lures in the morning then if you have a boat move down into the everglades around harrys hut to target bass on spinner baits
