A boats value
Hello to all, just a quick question if somebody can help.
I am going to sell my boat on the Aus Fish site but I want to know where or who could help with giving me a rough price on what I could sell it for. I don't want to advertise it too expensive but I also don't want it to go too cheap either.
It's a 5.2 m carribeen crestcutter half cabin with a 130 hp saltwater series yamaha outboard which has done approx 130 hrs.
A year and a half ago the boat has been refurbished including paint, stringers, floor, transum, new windscreen, bilge pump, carpets and cabin cushions. it will come with all safety gear, 27 mg radio, humminbird 535 fishfinder/sounder, Navman GPS/Plotter, dual batteries with isolater swich.
The braked trailer is only 1 and a half years old, 14 inch gal wheels, all sold registered. Boat regularly serviced and taken care of.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Re: A boats value
It will only be worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Take a look at most boat sale threads on ausfish. Most start out overpriced for what the market is willing to pay, and hence the prices are dropped many times before it is actually sold. Don't expect a near new boat to sell for 90% of retail on the second hand market in the present time. Most are selling for more like 65% of new, 70% if lucky.
