Anyone know a good reliable outboard dealer or mechanic on the northside who handles Yamahas? I bought my boat through Sundown Marine and always had them service it - found them very good too. Was very surprised when they went under.
Now my 400 hour service is coming due and I need a service centre in which you can have confidence. Any suggestions?

freedom, kratzman marine at burpengary is now the yammie dealer on northside, sorry dont have the phone number. a mate had his serviced there a few weeks ago and they really looked after him. cheers lethal

just had mine serviced at Kratzmans, first 100 hours/12 months, took a week, possibly a delay in obtaining a warranty part didnt help, little communication, I had to ring them to find out what was happeneing, and pretty damn expensive.
If your out of the warranty period, Id be looking else where

Suzuki Factory dealer but they have recently put on two top mechanics both fully trained on all makes.

Mate just had my Yamaha service done at Jeffers Motorsport at mango hill , they do yamaha and suzuki , the shop foreman from sundown works with Graham Jeffers out there , Couldn`t fault them , Very good ,

As my PM and Strongy above indicated, Jeffers Motorsport provide great service and have strong Yamaha experience, they have my vote.
We traditionally have always used 'Dealers' for service and to me Jeffers delivered dealer type service. One aspect I have learned with boats is find someone who knows what they are talking about - experience speaks volumes.

Graham Jeffers & Keith Falkenhagen did a service for me recently on my 130YAM (& lots of other boat stuff too) - fantastic guys - awesome experience /knowledge - good value for money - highly recommend them.

Very intersesting i have only heard good reports on kratzmanns. A coulpe of people i know have got boats of them and service work and they were over the moon. The only thing i can think of is that they are that busy they can't handle the work load. Because i have been watching there yard and they seem to be putting out a heap of boats. Having said that there is no excuse for what happened to you. Maybe you should ring the manger and complain about it. Haveing said that wade wimmers is a good mobile mec i have had him service a 25hp yamaha for me and i think he is only $80 a hour which is good value for a good marine mec.
