went to broughton island on the weekend and my wife caught and released a 31lb snapper on a 5inch jerk shad. the fish was a monster it took us 20min to land it. it was caught in only 7m of water. cant wait to get back out there.

great fish lucky it didnt brick ya in the shallow water, they have been on the chew up near sealies also, they should be in the shallow water around the mid north coast for a few mnths now,got buried by a few lately......hopefully a few will make a few errors shortly.....great fish to release bet it put a smile on ya face watching it swim away...even if the fish dont bite theirs plenty of whales to watch!!!!
