Talking first bream on plastics, lil rippa!!

    hi all,
had a qiuck flick in a little creek just round the corner from my house in between the rain today tryin to get a bream on plastic.... well finally success
after a few casts i managed this guyAttachment 27794 i cast across the creek about 2 ft to the left of the snag a gulp 2" baby shrimp in new penny colour with a 1/24th nitro jig headAttachment 27795 as it was sinking i didnt even feel the take just saw the line move away from me so a quick strike and i was on he made a quick dash for the snag but was swiftly denied with a quick head turn (this is startin to sound like a jack report!!) he went 27cm to the tip and was caught on 6lb fireline and 4lb fluro leader......AM STOKED ! had to pull the pin after that tho as the rain started again!!
    cheers JAYVEE

P.S. have actually pulled some small (30cm) jacks of this snag in the summer months on mullet strips heres a quick pick of 1 from earlier that i never posted

Looks like currimundi lake to me Jayvee. Have caught plenty of bream using bread around those snags, it's a real effort landbased just trying to get the cast in between all the trees and snags. Great when that line starts disappearing off the top of the water.

awesome stuff jayvee, i remember the first bream on soft plastics i got, i pulled him from tangalooma jetty after 3 months before tangalooma, 4x 10 hour plus days on the tanga jetty when i pulled in my first ever bream, which measured 27 fork length, and my pb still remains at that jetty a 30cm fl bream. good stuff keep it up.
