Fishing Fitzroy, Lamont Reefs?

Looking at doing an expedition out to these reefs hopefully in the near future. Will be using Fitzroy as a base and fishing in that general area. Will be bottom bashing for reefies plus trolling for macks and casting a few poppers and plastics. Will be leaving from seventeen seventy and making a weekend out of it, depending on weather of course. I realize its a fair run out there so any advice on what winds are favourable and which ones are not for trip out and back would be good. Any main or general reef marks in the area would be appreciated as trip will be debut. Any further advice on fishing this area would be great.

Look up Shannon 2 its a wreck near lamont also Barcoola is another good wreck drift around s/e side of Lamont alot of current there though.Cheers

I was just talking to JT on the phone. He is at the Hookup and he said this has been broadcast on the radio today so they are all aware of it.
