    Bream

Got a later start this morning as low tide after 7 and only going up the bribie passage hence - was waiting for the tide to turn and let all the off-shore guys at the ramp sort themselves out early in the peace so i can have the ramp to myself.

Got in the water by around 8am - no-one at the ramp - and then fished until 1pm - caught 15 bream from 26cm to 34cm, and 1 flathead at 49cm. Another beaufiful day out on the water with my little boy - and luckily this time - I outfished him. (Last time he outfished me 7 fish to my 1)

Anyway, here's the collection. Cheers, Darren.

I use a 10ft 6" Snyder Glas, 3kg invisible line spooled on a Shimano Sienna and a no.1 hook, and my trusty old mullett - works every time for me and my boy. I use a pee size sinker above the swivel and use about a 1/2m trace of same line. We fish in around 2ft of water where theres plenty of weed around. Cheers.

    Re: Bream

Nice fish bud. Yes the passage has been fishing well this week for the bream .Got 5 on the moon on tuesday night , and pulled another 6 out of the same place on the friday night . Got my ones on hardy heads , theyve been hitting them real well. The rig im using ??, a one off John Pope special about 12 ft long , small diameter alvey , 6 lb line ,smallest ball sinker you can get and a 1/0 hook on the end with no trace . Killer set up . Cheers.

    Re: Bream

Thanks guys for the positive comments.

Nitroburner - I get most of my bream with the pea sinker above the swivel - outfishes my other rod that I have rigged with the sinker running above the hook - different to what the books say but works for me. Anyway, all trial an error.

    Cheers, Darren
