Beautiful spot, some of the tenants leave a bit to be desired.

Martin, Good place to base yourself to jack fish between the lakes in summer. Don't know about winter fishing. Camping is basic, U can take dogs, if U like dogs that's a good thing, if not???? Its been a few years since I've been , but I'd say give it a go.

I went to check it out about a year ago.
I swear I drove into a comune with a heap of ferrals everywhere.
    I left rather quickly!
    Cheers Steve

    Re: Johns Landing

stayed there a few years ago - nice area (of the river) but as previously mentioned there are a number of permanent "ferals" there, although they seemed to keep to themselves and away from the tourists. facilities are fairly ordinary - there was a reasonable on-site shop when I was there. the place is definitely run down and could need some attention.

but, there aren't too many rules to abide by and you can have fires (well you used to be able to). plenty of open space for camping and spreading your site out - no site boundaries as such

I always looked everything up when I was there though
