All nooks and crannies, sticks and stumps were worth a cast, as almost each one had a bass hanging close. Small poppers seemed to be the go, many bass were caught along with a small saratoga none of which were of above average size however still fun to catch and release. Later in the morning soft plastics and jackalls were used on deeper fish, the odd one came aboard but were few and far between. Early morning poppers right up close to the banks are the go for sure, and remember if you don't slightly hit the bank with you popper - your not close enough!!
If you're planning on fishing Lake Cania make sure you get there early, just when there's enought light to see. Make sure you rug up coz it's getting to that time of year when you lose all feeling to your toes and fingertips. Definetly bring along a few surface lures and slowly make your way along the upper reaches of the lake, it should produce the goods.
thats it from me, hope you get amongst em'
