Didn't this get out of hand really quickly. Lucky i was at the boat show all weekend. I do agree with alot of comments with not many people owning or even seeing a tri in motion. to be honest with you, they are an awesome boat and can handle most conditions with ease, i own a hydro jaguar 6.1 and if you ever get the chance to go for a ride, do so and see what you think. Cheers
PS. and to noelm you are like a book of knowledge hey, though have you ever gone for a ride in a hydro??? if so what were your thoughts?
Cheers
Matty
yep, I have been in a couple, they went OK, no real drama, it is just one of those funny things, you never see many around, but I did see an Alloy Tri split down the centre weld and nearly sink, as well as a guy had one at Narooma one year and when he went over the Bar, he fell and buggered his back, kind of turned me off them I guess, never ever thought of buying one, for no reason than "because"

Garykym, yes I was, after seeing the larger version of the picture, it kind of looks like a 23 footer hull with some sort of a different Deck setup, but I doubt that it was ever Built by anyone who owned Sharkcat Manufacturing over the years, might be some sort of copy or modified one from some time.
OH and Nagg, I'm sick of Popcorn, I want Chips and Hotdogs, but certainly drag out the Boxing gloves.
Time for Pretzels....
and more beer.. These pretzels are making me thirsty!
I still stand by my previous comments that is appears on face value to be a d!ck size comparison thread.
has this thread actually achieved anything besides the copious consumption of popcorn and beer to the point that people are sick of the popcorn and also to anger people and potentially have one member leave? I don’t think so. It has actually become quite boring and laborious. FFS people, go and drop a line, catch some fish and get some blood on the boat, rather than insulting other people's pride and joy by saying their boats are crap compared to yours.
People buy boats to suit their fishing styles / boating style, lifestyle, conditions and budgets. Most people in todays conditions are happy just to be able to afford the boat they have and have the freedom to use it.
So how about a group hug, stop the crap and get back out on the water.
i don't have a photo of the original boat, but i have changed it's look and set up on the deck part, but no change to fibreglass hull etc. apart from paint. It would be a fairly older boat - it used to be used exclusively for outside fishing. do you think it goes back to the 70s?
it's in great condition - fitted out really well and has volvo penta 130 x 2 - i've probably spent too much on it with the renovation but it sure goes and handles well. any more comments from the members to try and identify the model?
thanks
well said mtx, if i could you thank you twice I would have. I love Ausfish, but the whole ##### measuring thing gets old, very quick..... i sign of insecurity IMO
