windly

g' day ausfishers
went for a fish sunday morning up the passage, didnt think we would catch anything cause of the wind, couldnt even keep the boat straight with the electric going full. so we wacked a 1/8 on in 5 foot of water and hoped for the best. caught one flathead on a grub and it spat a little prawn out, i had just brought a new packet of sprimp in banana colour and wacked them on. i couldnt believe it first cast bream, second cast bream used the hole packet in 2 hours, caught about 7 small flathead and 5 bream and heaps of chomps. and the whiting where funny sucking on the gulps untill they were in the boat then letting go weird. cheers stessco

Good to see the passage is starting to show some fish again. I haven't had much luck there of late but am about to put a few serious sessions in down that way. Thanks for the report.

Well done. Not too familiar with plastics but learning all the time, what size and weight jig head are you using? I'm keen to try the plastics myself soon watching all these reports on plastics. Looks like you are more at the caloundra end of the passage hey? I fish the bribie end of things of the passage. Do you mind if you PM or post - either way - thanks mate, Darren.

Re: windly

i was down the brible end today, went straight after work , using newpenny shrimps with 1/8 jig heads, cause it was so windy today, ended up with 4 legal flathead and one bream, and got smoked up the creek.
