B B B B B BASSSSS Clarrie hall style
Hi all not even sure if many aus fishos fish clarrie but i just got back from an arvo session there fished from 12pm to 4pm for 12 bass biggest was 42cmsmallest about 15cm!!! it seemed really cold and a bit windy but the fish were hungery not bad for winter!! this was by far my best bass fishing in the dam to date , i cought fish from the boat ramp !!! to up past the second island the big one at 42 was cought in front of the first house on the right hand side of the dam(bloody nice house to !!!!) the gun lure was a "smack "lure black with white strippes !! and a goldish mad micro mullet

Its a very pretty dam Crab Man, You can have that house too!! its for sale for I think about $1.8m.
worth it i reckon.

thanks for the report crabman. good to hear some news from Clarrie Hall and that the fish were active. Well done on the 42cm that would have been quite a buzz. Will have to get there one day and try the place myself. Everyone says how pretty it is down there.

I've only fished it once but it was quite a fun day, and reasonably productive too. Your pic reminded me of just how good it can be. Bass electric comp on Sunday 8th June. Gotta be in it to win it.....I won't.....I'll be up at Monduran chasing Bassamundi.

yep, electric only, no petrol outboards allowed to be left on the boat at all. its just a few clicks west of Murwillumbah.

Great photos Leigh. You've convinced me to give it a go. I regularly go down to Kingscliff for the weekends but have never taken down my recently acquired boat. It time to drag in down with me and head out to Clarrie and give it a go. Do you need a special license for Clarrie Hall or is the general NSW fishing license fine? - cheers Richard
