    Red face koombaloomba dam

    Hi,
    has anyone fished on the dam? is the road suitable to tow a 4.8 m boat. corrogation? loose stones? what is the boat ramp like etc etc.

    john,
    about 5 years ago we towed a 4.3m tinny in there while we were doing some commercial dive work on the dam wall. that didn't pose any problems. the ramp was a bit rough but fine with a 4wd. i have no idea about the current condition though.

    Hi John,

    We went in there a couple of months ago with a 3.9m tinnie. Road is fine if you take your time, eg 45mins to do the 35km from Ravenshoe. The 'ramp' we used was a rocky, dirt area directly below the camping area. A few big rocks about and a bit rough, so be careful if in a 2wd.

    Great spot there, so enjoy!
