    Re: The Clampetts Do Tully

    G'day two fold,

Mate, I'd like to say that I've caught enough JP's to answer your question but truth be told I've only caught a handfull. So with my limited experience I'd probably say yes. I've mostly caught them in small streams and I guess in that environment that any other fish in close proximity would take flight once the fish that is hooked starts to struggle in the fight and sends out distress signals.

As for Sooties, I've found that once you catch two or three- sometimes only one- in a particular hole or set of rapids you may as well move on because they wise up pretty quick too.

    Cheers, Andrew

    Nice pic's mate.

Was on the Tully the whole week with the Rafter's... did my Swiftwater Rescue Technician Certificiate too! Wish I brought a Rod with me!

If your ever back there, give Jarrah Ck a burl (upstream of Road bridge). Have nailed some horse JP there.

    Re: The Clampetts Do Tully

    G'day Josh,
That wasn't my first JP, it was just my mission that weekend to catch one.

Nah, I don't keep any Sooties for a feed, I release them all.

    Cheers, Andrew
