Re: landbased fishing on nerang river?

i often see people having landbased success at the council chambers park area. i occasianly fish the area by boat and see a few people there. always a chance of a trevally or 2 there as well as the above mentioned species. there is also a pretty good spot near the titanium bar. near where the v8 jet boats leave from. some good structure around there and quite accessable. i picked up a 60cm travally from that spot, albiet from a boat, but i was casting at stuff that you could also from land!!

As for streetr names, you won't miss the chambers in the is just after (i think) the Is of capri bridge on the main drag.

    hope this helps

Chris there are plenty of spots to fish in the nerang river land based, here are a few where you can catch whiting and bream depending on the time of year.

Sandy beach at james overall park, brighton parade southport.

    End of winchester street southport

Park on stanhill drive next to western chevron island bridge

Park on sunset boulavard surfers paradise

Park at isle of capri boat ramp, saint andrews avenue isle of capri

Park at southern end of campbell st sorrento.

    Hope this helps. cheers wayne.
