I think that tells the story as he could have got a quinny in 4 weeks. I think the plate thing was a big winner.
I think you would find that the actual wait on a Quinnie would be around the 12wk mark as well. Most salesmen will tell you they can deliver a boat quicker then the competitor to get a sale, but in the end all you will get is stuffed around and end up waiting just as long.
Tabs would definately be my pick.

Ditch the alloy selection and tell your mate to get a glass boat. Far better performance and the surface won't bubble from day 1.

Someone said "all boats bang like a $20 hooker in certain conditions". You must be an alloy boat owner.......

BM, even the 25 and 28ft Bertram gives a bone jarring bang, its all in the way the boat is driven

Cant say I have been in a 25 Berty that banged. But then again it was never being plowed into 3mtr waves at full tilt.....

is the better boat the one you have to wait the longest for?? I better ring Maritimo and tell them those boats they have in stock must be crap.

12 weeks for a small plate boat? I would be telling them what to do with their boat...talk about pathetic service.

Tabs 5.1 Territory Pro at Kratzmanns Caravans, Sandgate Rd, Virginia, @ $41k, they also have one advertised in Trailerboat for $31k, same dealer, must be top and bottom of range? Cracker of a boat to look at and sit in. Stacks of floor room and leg room under the side console. Thanks to all for replying, I am in the same situation.

I've got a G.S Marine extreme that out performs a cracktrex and Tabs. How do I know this. I've been side by side in the same slop out from Dundee. One was a top ender and the other a side console in the 5.0m size. The quintrex looked like a cork bobbing around the Tabs went a bit better.
G.S make a bow rider, sideconsole and centre console. Fort the price your talking you should get one on the East coast for that.

    Why Not

Well you tell col at fisher boats that he gives bad service because his waiting list is 8 months for any plate boat he builds. I would have to say talking to people fisher has got great service. I think being told the truth about a long wait for a boat is good service. Telling someone it will be 4 weeks says to me two things it could be a lie just to keep the customer happy or it could be the truth which means quintrex are not sell many boats.

I've got a TABS 5.4 Terriotory Pro, with the wider C/C,140 4st on the back, 2years old and can't fault the out fit. I've had it out in some ordinary situations and the boat has performed well.
