    "Makartha - Anne" sold

For those that have been around a while will know my love of my boat, saved my hide more than once, brought me home in huge seas with a broken back, rebuilt with lots of blood sweat and tears. This boat was rebuilt to never need to be rebilt again with thoughts of never selling her. Decided some months ago that I needed to move into the next phase3 of my life and do some touring and see this great country of ours, so out goes the boat and in will come a camper trailer that will carry my tinnie. So for the time being I will have to be happy with fishing in close with my tinnie. Makartha- Anne was purchased by of all people a member of our marine police, young chap with a young family. I hope he gets as many years of enjoyment as I had. Sad site seeing the old girl being towed up the road by a police vehicle, nearly like she had done wrong.
    cheers

    Hi dave
Dont think I will get a bigger boat again (not at this point anyway), fairly keen on doing the touring think, would like to think I can do most of the 4x4 touring trips exspecial the ones where I can fish up the top end. Odd looking out the driveway this morning and not seeing the boat, but ya get that.
    cheers

The new owner might value your experience and knowledge of the boat and need some company on a trip or two Blaze? I'll bet you've got some damn good marks too that could put the young copper on to some fish?

We've got a couple of spare bedrooms here. If you find your way to Petrie/Brissie you're most welcome.

    Cheers

Geez blaze don't think I could do what you just did, last month we just bought a new van to do some short touring trips to get the feel of it.
But the 5 metre boat she's still got her spot in the garage, the van due to size has to live down by the side of the house.

Think I should build a carport for it, bloody hell have these things prices sky rocketed in the last few years, hopfully there now a good investment. fifteen years ago you couldn't give them away.

Get out there and have some fun with it, we done only one trip so far and we all had a ball nice and easy no rush was great for a change.

    Geez Blaze,

That was something I never thought would happen.

I thought you would have cut your own legs off before you would sell the boat.

I look forward to you dropping in when you are on your travels.

    Cheers

    Pete
