to buy share or hire (in brisbane) - your advice please

Mowerman your right, procrastination can be a buzz kill. So I am am going to take a little advice from all of your replies as you have all been so kind with your time. I have decided to hire for a start. Signed up for the 6 day option, kicking it off this weekend. This gives me chance to evaluate size and style of boat and economy and 1.50 per litre. dont have to worry about the launch and retrieve for the time being. I plan on spending a bit of time actually watching people do it so i know what to look out for. And as the guy said the best bit he gets to clean it.
Pinhead, thank you for the kind offer, if you would like to team up one day I wouldn't mind tagging along behind if your heading over to Moreton or some where a little further than peel. Always a confidence boost to have some company and enjoy a BBQ with.

firstly, good on you for getting into a boat! you sound excited, so I wish you great times.

just check the fuel capacity of each hire boat - you may get a different boat each time? don't want to head to Tangalooma and the weather turns foul and you run out of fuel halfway back!

I'm betting after a couple of runs with a hire boat you start looking fo your own rig

Strangely enough Tim,its in saltwater and titled "brissy river dolphin".
Old mate Mik has developed the nasty habit of molesting the poor innocent little dolphins.

Now go forth young man and conquer...or if you prefer, you could always get out on the water and hunt down some wretched dirty diesel owners.
