    how do you get rid of the pop ups on the side of these pages they get in the road

    just hit the "x" in the top left hand corner.

    or you could turn the pop-up blocker on, in the tools menu of your browser

    Hmmm, I tried ticking the blocking the pop up box in the tools menu and havent added this website to those sites that are exempt but the popups still appear...any idea's Scott?

    you need to go to tools pop up blocker Pop up Blocker settings and down thebottom of the page change it to Filter level : High Block all.

    They are part of the websites code, they aren't really a popup best bet is when you see one click the X in the top corner of the add window to get rid of it.

    some sites have paid subscriptions witch let those members run around without any advertising, might be a way Ausfish could go in the future?? I think it would be worth $5 or $10 a year to have less to load every time I come online but then its up to Steve weather he goes with something like this (lot more admin) and the costs might need to be more for this work and time needed too, I have no idea about how to set this up on a forum unfortunately

    Yes it can be done, have looked into it. Most members have suggested around $5 to $10 a month. Similar to prices they pay for subscriptions to printed media with a lot less content.

    If I do go ahead with it though it would be optional. Those that are happy to pay in the current way, just letting the ads take care of it, will still be able to.
