Yeah, I used to turn my nose up at them until a mate served one up straight out of the kipper box one night at work.
All saved these days for similar fate . Still give them a good bleed though

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

I told my Chinese lady that they were the fish that you gave to your mother-in law . She said to me it looked like a big bream when it came aboard. I kept it for her and she cooked it whole with Ginger and garlic sauce........wow my eyebrows shot up when I had the first bite. It was fantastic. She said I must have really loved my mother-in law to give her such a fish. It was only a 2 kilo fish so maybe thats why. She keeps looking at those big ugly catfish that sometimes inhabit the reef after heavy rain. Haven't succumbed to taking one of those yet . Over in China my friends cooked catfish head soup for me. Man talk about a white guy going inscrutable . The heads popped out of the soup with some skin boiled off the bone and with little white eyes and those little whiskers pointing at me from the bowl........ catch the picture .

    LOL JT!!

    Thats FUNNY

Remember the guy who bought a house by trading a red paper clip? We could make this one go the other way!

PS. Damian, I'm sure you pull some good fish from Slatey habitats but the post was just begging for a leg pull

    Re: morwong

There has to be some give and take, there are plenty on this forum that know what there on about (and a few that don't ) but you cant expect a whole lot of fisherman to be giving marks up with out you giving a little yourself.
