No mackerel, no crabs, no whiting

Went for a squirt with Terry from work yesterday morning. His in-laws are out for a holiday atm and want to sample some Qld seafood.

Well I thought there might be some sandies still about in the deep weater half way across the bay - NO.

Well mate it's a bit early in the season but there might be a couple of schoolies kicking about the Rous or Rainbow channel - NO.

Plan C is some winteries around the dog leg and other spots near the Rous channel - NO.

All in all a pretty crook result for 4 hours.

Never mind, last weekend at DI made up for it so I'm not complaining too hard.

mate there are plenty of whiting in that area you just need to move around to find them. i picked up 70 on saturday and left them biting there heads off, but had to move about 6 or 7 times before i found them. and they were in 5m of water whereas the other day they were in 3m, persevere my friend.
