    Fuel Tank Size

    I Have 5 Metre C/c With A 40 Hp Mariner And Only Have A 25 Litre Standard Tank But Would Like To Put An Under Floor Tank In . Can Anyone Tell Me How To Work Out How Many Litres It Will Hold When I Know How Big It Will Be'

    Measure the tank in centimetres, then multiply length x width x height to work out the volume of the tank in cubic centimetres.

    1,000 cubic centimetres = 1 litre.

    length x breath x hight = .... devide by 1 equals ltrs

    Thanks To All For The Info I Can Now Start To Work Positions For The New Tank.

    Rumyi The Boat Has A Max Of 60hp & The 40 Pushes Her Along Just Fine

    It weighs about 0.790kg per L

    Bill,
    From the hp of your boat I assume it is a tinny (pressed), hence your tank will go across the boat. To maximise the tank capacity for the available space it will need to be a tank as shown. To work out the volume calculate as shown, dimensions in meters.
