    Lowrance LCX 16Ci & 27C sounder technique

I have a Lowrance 16Ci and a 27C using 200 transducers. On a recent trip I would do a run over an area and see nothing on the sounder, another boat would do the same run and locate and catch numerous 5-6kg fish. Depth 5 to 30 metres.
I have the ping and scroll speed at 100%, the gain at the maximum readable. I have used the two together and one at a time. The transducers are mounted as recommended on either side of the transon in clean water.
    Any suggestions?

Try turning all settings to auto or reset everything to factory settings. Try downloading the emulators aswell for your sounders and play around with the settings on there and compare it to how you have your sounder set up.
