    Scarby Reef - today

With all of the great help I've been given to catch a snap around a few places things got buggered up today. The young daughter had a friend for a sleep over and by the time everyone was organised to go it was 1300. (Scarby Reef today). I have never been a fan of fishing the run out during the afternoon (unless offshore) but it was decided that YEAH THIS WILL BE FUN!!!

Lot's of tiny Happy Moments and a 100mm Grassie. Back at the marina at 1800. It was beautiful to be on the water, and lovely to hear the girls squeal with the little fish. Next time I'm planning on just Sue and I, and like so many suggested, just before dawn or just after dusk.

Anyway, I promised to let all know how we went. Certainly a beautiful part of the world with the weather conditions as they were.

    Cheers all

    Dave

And despite you sounding so happy, I bet you're regretting the day that you thought fishing and daughters could co-exist

Kev, the you're right about that! It's good to see them enjoying it, but oh how my heart had been set on pre dawn or post dusk. Anyway, at least now I know my way around a little bit of that area. We also went down off Margate as well, anchored and drifted but to no avail.

Greg, conditions were beautiful. Just too perfect.........clear water, good sun, but probably too shallow and not a good time of the day for fishes in my opinion. Still better than being in hospital or working etc.

    Cheers

Gave it another shot this afternoon until about 1 hr ago. Quite windy out there and we were the only boat! Still no luck, although we did boat half a dozen very small squire. It was beautiful coming back into the marina with the water so calm and still and having the ramp all to ourselves.

    Cheers

    Dave
