    Nuggstar does Noosa

I picked Nugg up at the ramp this morning at 4.45am after he just did an all-nighter. The boy is either mad or very keen!
I wanted to get him a GT and for him to hear his reel scream and clean out the cobwebs.
Again, surface activity was non- existent telling me that the fish were down deep as I knew they were there.
We pulled up at my first spot and started casting our SP's. After a little while Nugg gets a solid hit and nails a Bigeye about 40cm. He was happy and I was happy to get him a decent fish.
A few more minutes went by when Nugg gets another good hit and line starts to peel from his reel.
This was a better fish and after a good fight on his bream gear, I slip the net under a Bigeye that goes 52cm. Nice fish!
We start casting again, my turn, as my plastic gets nailed by another good fish.
This thing was head shaking and I could feel his tail beating on the line. Nugg was ready with the net and in comes a nice Tailor that went 60cm.
Slice of the throat and in the kill tank! Tucker!
About 5 minutes later we see a 4' Bull Shark hanging around and looking very agitated. Things slowed, so we moved.

We tried for a Whiting on popper, with Nugg having 3 good strikes but not hooking up. At least he saw how it was done. I managed a whiting of 30cm before we decided the current was too strong to fish this method properly.

Off we go to my GT spot. The water was now looking a bit better with a few back eddies and current lines forming. We tried for about half an hour with only 1 strike for 1 GT that went 49cm. Another good solid fish.

As we were heading in the direction of Nugg's bus stop, he decided to have a go at a few Bream under the jetties. I must admit, I don't like bream, I find them boring and hard to catch. Nugg's first cast was perfectly placed with his hidden weight jig wafting down. Smack, he was on! A just legal bream, on his first cast.
Nugg got quite a few bream as I watched his technique, and I can tell you, he knows how to catch bream that's for sure.

No GT Nugg, but that's fishin'! 5 Species for a mornings fishing is pretty good I reckon.

I had a good day and learnt a bit off Nugg and I hope he had a good day and learnt a bit off me.

    Cheers, Jeff.

He forgot he'd already organised to fish with me that morning. I don't think his missus was too impressed... I went to pick him up at 5am and he wasn't there, so I called him. He'd left the phone at home

Joel, He was PMing me all week to get him a Trevally.
I nearly didn't ring him on Friday 'cause I read in one of your posts that you and him were going to hit up Kawana!

When I rung him at home he didn't mention anything about having a fish with you!
You went to pick him up at 5????????????
The mad ba$tard had been out all night to meet me at 4.30 in the morning!
He caught the last bus in from Nambour that night 'cause buses didn't run that early in the morning.!!!!!!

As I stated in my previous post, he's either mad or very keen.
    Personally, I think both!
Ol Nuggstar, you got some explaining to do my boy!!!!

At least we got some decent fish!

    Jeff.
