Hi Guys
I have an ATC Crankbait 10kg rod with the cork handle broken. Just reading this forum has inspired me to repair it myself rather than chase warranty.
Can someone please help me with some methods to repair the butt and to select the right part.
Blank is 16mm OD at the base and the rod is used weekly on the rocks and on sandbanks and cops a fair beating!
you can cut some more cork off to make it neat then add eva to the end and finish with a butt cap of your choice megabass have started using cork/eva grips on their rods and it look really nice Attachment 26644
Anyone that sells fuji components will sell you one. You can get silver or gold trim rings.
clean up the cork with a sharp blade and some light sandpaper and glue it on. Use a bit of masking tape wrapped on the blank to bring it up to size.
