Thats a very nice greenback FJ. What were you using for bait?
Can only echo your sentiments about the season ahead!
Cheers.
Been hitting the beaches last two weeks chasing tailor with narrow neck producing two or three on a good night but still a hit or miss . Last two nights have been at the spit beaches and getting two a night with this one coming in last night 66cm hopefully it might be a good season.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

If I caught only one tailor and wouldn't complain size of yours...
Thanks for report...
Nice fish FJ but hard going for ones & two's... Still, better than a kick in the pants!!
Take Care T
I will be going to the spit after the 14th, cant do any before hand. will be down from the sand pumping jetty, hope the buggers will be still around, Peter
Next time you go out try mullet (fillets from wollies, coles etc) for bait. I did a heaps better then pillies week before last and it lasts longer!
What size would you start to call them greenbacks?
Cheers, Mick.
Excuse my stupidity lol but can someone enlighten me on exactly where Narrowneck is? I'm pretty sure it's somewhere between the spit and surfers?
I threw some pillies around a couple wkd's ago off the end of the south wall of the seaway and couldn't buy a bloody bite lol. But I'm gonn try and drag the old man down there to do some beach fishin in the next week or two
Narrowneck is between the Spit and Main Beach.
One thing I do is look at the surf cams to see where the good gutters are and beach coditions.
