    Smile Broadwater Tailor

Well it's been a long time since I have posted a report so I should at least make the effort..
Went out Sunday and Monday afternoons down the Goldie to my very secret and favorite Tailor haunt on the Broadwater ....lets just say it is in the vicinity of the Deep Hole near Biggera Waters.....I go to the same spot all the time and NEVER miss out and I watch every boat, big and small just pass me by .......
Sunday me and the Wife picked up Tailor with nearly every pillie thrown too them...we kept only fish 40cm and above....in the end we took home all we wanted which was 12 fish...the rest we released very quickly with no damage..
Monday, my mate was keen to go and try and outdo my missus and things weren't looking that good for him as I had boated 6 40+cm Tailor to him not even getting a nibble on his pillie.....to say I was hanging sh%t on him would be an understatement...I decided to sit back and have a cold Corona and let him catch up....he placed his rod down for two seconds and he received a great hit and no fish....he was not happy......I couldn't help myself..rang the missus and she gave him grief.....eventually, after I had caught and released another 5 he finally caught one...it would have to have been the smallest chopper tailor I have ever seen...happy? NO.....Laughter from me? ...PLENTY...
Eventually he got his act together after I gave him another rod of mine he he boated few solid fish...we left just on the Ebb tide both evenings as we had enough for both our families and both nights we ran out of bait.....another pic attached is of 41/2 foot Black Tip Reefy,..me and about 16 mates with wives had him for lunch on Good Friday....all the best...see ya out there..
