Epic nightout
What's going on...over nighters on the the northern banks two weekends in a row. Surely the good weather fairy can't be that good.
Left the Kawana boat ramp at about 1.30pm and headed out to our usual haunt and dropped the pick. Moved a number of times to compensate for the wind and current, but finally ended up on the spot. Things started out slow that afternoon/evening with only about 4-5 keepers being landed. Fell short of getting a legal red by only 2cm. Event if a really stretched him he didn't get over the line... .
The next morning went along steadily with a god mixed bag coming aboard.
Final count
Snaps/Squire = 10
Pearlies = 6
Moses perch = 3
tusk fish = 3
spangled emperor = 1
Overall a great night out

Great looking catch, shame about the red. As they say there is always next time.

Re: Epic nightout
If I wanted to redeem myself with a couple of reds, is there a way to target them. What is the best rig, bait etc.?
