snapper on soft plastics

hey guys just wanting to pick your brains on the best soft plastics for snapper fishing.
i have been using 7inch berkely jerk shads with reasonable success. but with the millions of soft plastics on offer i was wondering if anyone has been having success with anything else on the snapper.

for a laugh i made some plastics out of bathroom sealantpretty bodgy looking
had no success with the snapper but the mac tuna and other surface feeders
thought they were pretty tasty when retrieved at speed cheap too any way id be greatful for your input COOP

If your in the bay 4 inch gulp swimming mullet in pumkinseed on a no 1 or 1/0 berkley salt water pro with whatever weight suits your depth, i use 1/6th myself.

I use mainly Zoom and Bass Assassin Plastics.
They are a more durable plastic and better value for money than Berkley

I use Berkley's 4inch Power Baits and find them reasonably good. That is in Moreton Bay, amybe different down Coffs way.

Jackall Mask Vibes did the trick yesterday. The snapper hit them hard on the drop. We usually use Flick Baits or Gulps 3"-5" but the Jackalls brained them this time. Just use heavier leader so when you ultimately snag them on the bottom you can straighten the hooks to get your lure back!

3 inch swimming mullet berkely gulp in nuclear chicken, was using them at shallow tempest the last 3 weeks and gettin all on them up to 5kg, tried 7 inch jerk shad and would not touch it. also used pearl white in same config and worked but no where near as well, cheers

we have also go them on sluggos and sliders, they seem to like wormy looking things
