Crabs, Cobia, Cracker of a weekend

G'day Ausfishers!
With the weather report for the weekend you would have had rocks in your head not to head out. How good was it?
On Sunday the Deckie and me headed off to Bribie for a bit of crabbing and fishing. We set our dillies and started flicking some plastics around. Nothing happened for a while then Mrs Lunatic's reel starts screaming. After a bit of a tussel we have in the net a nice cobia at 82cm. Hats off to Mrs Lunatic for landing such a quality fish on light gear (and for showing me up). A Nuclear Chicken Minnow did the damage. Didn't get another fish all day, but caught 8 nice sandies.
Headed back to the same spot today, but didn't do so well. No fish, but caught 3 nice sandies. We ducked back in the passage to get some lunch, and got to meet another Ausfish member that saw my stickers on my boat. Good to meet you TinLegs!
There should be more of these lazy long weekends. Maybe National Fishing Day???

And what an excellent weekend it was! Good to see the weather playing ball and we are getting out over the long weekend. You have worked hard to get a feed, I normally don't crab and fish at the same time ( rods and crabpots always are attracted to each other) so you need to be congratulated.
