cal 12 mile thurs 1st may
Headed out to the 12 mile yesterday with the old man in my 4.4 horizon. Slow trip out due to the conditions and my old mans bad back. (tinnies wern't built for comfort.) Took about an hour and a half doing 6-8 knots but finally arrived at our mark. Caught a good feed of parrot, grassies, moses and hussar and a s#$@ load of just under maori cod. Couldn't find a knobbie though only one under sized squire seen all day. I need to catch a knobbie any one got any ideas where to find a good snapp. Guess I'll just keep trying. Wind eased throughout the morning and the trip back to Mba was alot quicker than the trip out all in all a great day on the water.

Nice feed there we have fished the 12 mile a couple of times over the last month and havn't been able to get any big snapps but maybe around the full moon might be a different story. Although there has been a heap of squire up to around the 2.5 3 kg mark. Float your pillies with a heap of burley seems to be working for us.
cheers pete...
