    routing hypalon

Anyone got any advice on routing out hypalon. I guess I could put a file into a cordless drill or something. Anyone got anything better?

Mate you do not need to rout Hypalong as it will expand to fit be sure that you use plenty of glue this will also help it go on.

Normally I dont, but these ones I bought from mudhole are WAY off being the right size. Never seen hypalon like this so much meat in them.

Yes you need a Batson Forecast Dream Reamer Kit.
Just pick the size you want put it a drill and in a few seconds you have the grips reamed to whatever size you want.
They work well with Cork, EVA, Hypalon, Graphite or Urethane Arbors, Timber ect.
They come with a handle so you can use it by hand, also get spare sanding strips to glue on when they wear out.
I have done hundreds of grips and I am still on the orignal sanding strips.
Once you own one you will never want to be without it.

I guess by routing you mean you want to make the Inside hole bigger? if so, then a piece of dowel and some sand paper in a battery drill will do the job, it is pretty easy but needs a bit of care so the hole remains round and not all oval shaped.

Where do I get one of the kits?

I'm with Simon...I recently I purchased one of these dream reamer kits... absolutley bloody fantastic...one small hint tho... don't ream out too much especially on eva grips......very easy to do... I made the mistake of reaming out enough so I could "dry" fit the grips... and when I glued them up I found that they were slightly over reamed... glue took up ok...but I'd ream out less next time...
    cheers, Robbie
