Thread tape for fuel lines

Is there a special tape for use with fuel lines,or is the tape used in plumbing the same stuff.

There is a special fuel rated thread tape, think its blue from memory,looks the same as normal tape,

I have used permatex anyway it smells like Stag, that works pretty well.

Yep,just found on the web,what Roughasguts posted.

Permatex ( A) High performance Thread Sealant or ( B) High temperature thread sealant.

Holdtite have one also called Holdtite Thread seal ( Funny about the name)
Where did you buy your Permatex lot R.A.G?

dnej,i went 2 supa cheap & got permatex high performance thread sealent cause it says on the packet 4 use with fuel. cost was $17.

Ouch 17 bucks, might sell my bottle on ebay. But yeah Dave, got mine from one of those Repco, Auto one or super cheap places. Don't remember spending that much though.
