barwons
well we hit the banks at about six am with glassed out conditions headed mostly around all our regular spots with heaps of good bait shows and nice hard bottom that the new Jrc 660 was picking up was really impresed with this unit. Fishing was slow tried every thing softies burlie pillies prawns you name it nothing was working found the same results every where not sure what went wrong today be one of the worst eforts out there in a while but all in all got a few and was good to have some glassed out conditions for a change.
Mates Bar crusher went well but it aint no Kevlacat (hey Brenden)

I'm hearing you nautical prince. Went to the 12 mile yesterday, nice conditions but only landed 4 fish for a dismal effort. Should of stayed in bed.

Re: barwons
I'd say that the fish have gone off the bite until the new moon.
The period from 4 days after the full moon to the new moon is traditionally one of the slow times for fish feeding activity.
Have encountered this pattern often over the years particularly on the barwon banks and the hards. Although occasionally there have been exceptions to the pattern.
Cheers
