Wink Daiwa telescopic for Alvey reel

Hi people. Recently, I'd adapt a Daiwa SurfSwing 25-360 telescopic for use with a Alvey reel. I pretend use for light rockfishing or light surfcasting. I'd use the same thin nylon rope, who got free with care, and roll again mantaining the pressure. Finish with araldite (epoxy 15 min). Put a free runner too. Someone did something like? Some advices about?

I bought one of those collapsible rods when I was in China 2 years ago and was amazed at its quality and finish. Cost me $8 aussie dollars. The said rod is now being used over in Greece.
