    Prawn ID

    My dad and i caught a prawn in one of the pots today and i hadnt caught one of these before,
    Description: Black,Brown,greenish body,
    green and red where the legs met the body and was about 18cm long,

    Sorry,no pics as we were just getting the pots,
    by the way we got 2 huge jennys that we of couse let go,
    any suggestions will be appreciated,

    hi mate,
    at a guess id say its a black tiger prawn or leader prawn. some ppl were paying huge money for them live a few years ago. just google image it and see if thats what is was. cheers chewy...........

    not quite mate, but close, it was alot darker and it was a blood red around the legs, none in the head
