Great post and great fish to from a yak. I would have been crappen myself with light line on a big red like that. Mine had 20 pound leader and took a while to wind down befor landing and it was 82cm. I might have to try my yak i got of my father but fish at that size would make it hard to not just fall in as it runs of into the horizon. Well done.

What a monster, that must have been a reel high getting such a quality snapp from the yak. That would have to be the best snapp i have seen from Redcliffe, the previous one was 84cm caught by ausfish member "Hairy Punt" . I live 3 kms from that boat ramp, my pb from here is only 63cm, i get the bigger snaps at Mud.

Fishing a ledge in 16-20 feet of water. Try any of the rocky outcrops along the front of redcliffe. Find the bait schools and you will find the fish.

I was really disappointed when I uploaded for photo,s to the computer. Bloody dirty lense. That was my PB. Your thinking of the one Fieldy got and I did the report. I will get that 100cm fish one day.

They are there mate. Just a lot of water in between. If you saw where I was fishing, you would shake your head in disbelief. You could almost cast to it from the rocks, almost.

Yes corner of the mouth and the hook fell out once in the net. Probably only lost about 100mtrs of line during the tussle. Kept in contatc pretty well using the electric motor. 4lb leader Not even going to think about it. The only reason I was on 6lb was that I was too lazy to change it over from my last Bream session. Might have to rethink being lazy me thinks.
