It's a lot of money for a rod, but they are a beautiful piece of tackle. Super light, but still with plenty of grunt. Lightest rod I have ever handled. I have used one a couple of times with matching Steez reel and I would have to say it's the best balanced combo I have ever handled.
If I were buying one myself, I would make a point of double checking my home contents insurance just in case something unfortunate happened. Would not want to ever pay that much twice.
