These good sized banana prawns were caught last night off the bank by my fishing buddy Frank the fishing machine and his prawning mate. Frank said that they were not plentiful as he and his mate had to work bloody hard for about 5 hours with only a few prawns per cast. The prawns are not properly schooled up and the secret of success is know what stage of the tide is working best for the area you are prawning. Work the area methodically and don't cast into the same spot for at least 10 minutes.
The prawns should improve further over the next few weeks around Moreton Bay and its tributaries.
This will be the last estuary report I post due to unwarranted and negative comments from the fish kissers but I will concentrate on offshore reports in future .
Good fishing and prawning to all you estuary fishos who fish for a feed.
Cheers
Barry
