    Amity Point Camping

Anyone please recommend (or not) the camp ground at Amity Point? Or perhaps a rental that had room to park a boat.

Did a search on this & reports on the campground were from 2005. So would like some more up-to-date input please?

Have a 400 Quintrex Hornet with 40HP and was looking to fish the quiter bay side, so doing my research, Amity seems to be the go?????

    Hi there Bear001

We had 4 nights at Amity Point Camp ground last November, so not too long ago!

The weather was a little bit blowy but we had a great time!

The ramp was a bit "interesting" and had a couple of good days cruising around chasing the fish.

Must admit that we didn't catch much, Dad and I caught more off the rocks at the camp grounds than the boys did out in the boat.

But it is a lovely area and we reaaly enjoyed ourselves! The camp site was reasonably priced - it cost alot more to get the car & boat across than for the camping fees!

    Cheers
    Janine

PS - check out http://www.amitypointcc.asn.au/ Great meals and quite good value for money and even a shuttle bus if you have a few too many bevvies! also we bought some fresh prawns from a house down the main street of Amity and they were the best prawns we have EVER had!

if you have a 4x4 you could camp at Point Lookout or Adder Rock and launch off the ebach if the weather is good.
