Bummer, i hate things that dont work especially if it's in good condition. Always next time.
Like most, I have struggled to get out and fish for the last couple of weeks due to a combination of bad weather and work - so with a free day and a very understanding wife who tagged along we headed to Meldale (Pumicestone Passage). Lauched after dropping the kids off at school and picking up some live worms. Started the motor and was greeted by a high pitched "no oil" alarm. Only thing is that it has oil and a faulty switch which played up last time but refused to do so once we were back on dry land!
Lucky we had just bought/installed a leccy so decided to give it a run and stay close to the ramp. Headed across the creek, dropped a couple of pot and anchored up on a sand bank. Within a few casts I had a legal 'ting and soon after that Tracey landed a 31cm model - maybe it would turn out ok!
Then ..... nothing.
Tide turned and with limited mobility we struggled to find any fish - ended up coming home early (no crabs either), happy with the keepers but disappointed we didn't get the chance to chase down any more.
There is always next time - after its fixed!
