    Couple of Noosa Trevs...20-04-08

Well the good wife asked me to go to the video shop for her this afternoon and naturally I said 'No worries' but I will have a fish on the way....

The wind eased this afternoon and the conditions were glassy and very nice.
Plenty of bait in the river at the moment and the trevally were rounding up prawns.I finished up with two average Big Eye's and one nice GT,all on plastics.

Hopefully is the start of a good winter in the river.

    Cheers
    Pete

Nice fish Pete. I bet you'll start braining em very soon. You tend to do that with fish species.
Havn't been back out after the trevs again. Waiting for the real 10KG specimens to show up at my spot. Shouldn't be long tho. Cheers mate.

    Hey Rich,

Mate I hope you get some serious popping munching animals up there soon.
I would love to have access to a spot that produced BIG trevs.
I am headed back up to the Whitsundays in May to a spot where I know there are 30kg fellas swimming.
How is your jewie hunt going...???

Yeah, it's got to the stage now that if you miss out on a Trevally, you're doing something wrong. The GT's have been a consistent 40-50cm and bigger, and there's some big Bigeyes amongst them too. Few Tailor and flathead around as well.
The river's been fishing pretty well of late.

That's funny, Nugg and I couldn't even catch a cold Sunday morning . Glad to see you're still nailing a few speedsters Pete. I look forward to seeing some photos of these 30kg GTs after your trip.

That's alright, I'd get a thrill out of just hooking a GT that size. Landing it would be like all my holidays at once. As long as it didn't get sharked, that's gut-wrenching

Hey there Pete was up there sunday and monday. Sunday in the crappy rain and wind got some decent tailor and some nice queenies but strangely no trevs. Sunday top morning but as quiet as i have ever seen it there even though there was a pile of bait. But still had fun fishing the old haunts. Heading up in a couple of weeks cant wait
