    Cool GOld COast~Broadbeach i think~Need some advice.

    Hey guys, heading to the coast this weekend for a couple of night. friday and sat night. And yeah i was planning on poppin in some light gear or something for some fun maybe one night or one morning.

    But yeah im actually heading to conrad jupiters so yeah was thinking of wetting a line down in the little canals or creeks not to sure what to call them but yeah pretty much the water there thats like behind the Pacific Fair Shops. Only thing is i was going to fish over under one of the bridges nearby instead.

    So yeah. was wondering a couple of things;

    1) does anyone know what lurks in them waters? its be interesting to know. i know theres like the general bream and that in there but would there be like anything else more fun to play with? like maybe some trevally? or jacks? maybe even a jew? i have no idea just wondering if anyone knows anything about them waters. The bridge i plan on fishing under. it seems good. has a few poles supporting the bridge theres some rocks and trees around so yeah hoping theres some fish.

    2) Other thing is. You guys think some lures would be any good? was either thinking of using maybe some hardbody diver? or just any old surface lures or poppers not sure if they will be any good....im not a fan of the soft plastics however....dnt really know how to fish with them all that well. I seem to prefer just using bait if im going to use a softie.

    SO yeah any advice guys?

    apreciated, anthony.

    Plenty of trevs in that area... few jacks floating around aswell. Shallow diver in the eddies around the bridge is the way to go in the early/late hours of the day. Or go a popper. Definitely a popper at night. My thoughts anyway... ive fished there a fair bit.

    Hey,

    Yeh ive definetly heard of some trevallys coming from that area. I would also give a go more towards the casino (only about 100m away from Pac fair as behind pac fair gets a bit overfished i think) if you can find a way to access it these mangrovey canals i give em a go.. More structure and trees in this area. Yeh id say to bring some lures. Poppers as "Jackash" mentioned will probably be the go with the trevallys although ive heard live herring are the way to go around there. And shallow divers will be good around any structure, Im still learning plastics but id still give em a go, you never know???

    I think this is probably a bit in the wrong section?? Maybe better in Saltwater?

    Hope this helps!

    THanks guys. ill post in salt water then.

    so poppers are good for trevallies there? yeah i was thinking of fishing on the casino side anyways. under that bridge you cross to get to get from pacific fair to the casino.

    I was hoping there would be some decent trevalies there. i really want to hook one up. keep getting them but there like small. i want something thatl give my drag a work out thats always fun. =]

    btw what size poppers are good? a small one will be best right?

    But yeah i was thinking the divers would be good near the structure yeah? xD
